In that recent case, an Essex County jury found the New Jersey Schools Construction Corporation (NJSCC) low-balled Newark property owner JAGR Realty when seizing land in 2005 for the proposed East Side High School. The case centered on a dispute over valuation of the property in the city's Ironbound section which had been zoned for commercial development, but was likely to receive a variance or zone change for use as residential property. JAGR Realty appraised the property at $4.5 million, but NJSCC offered slightly under $2.1 million. The jury awarded nearly $3.3 million to JAGR Realty, represented by Attorney Dennis J. Drasco.
In addition to being a recognized New Jersey Condemnation/Eminent Domain Attorney, Dennis is a Certified Civil Trial Attorney and is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and Who's Who in American Law. He is also a New Jersey Court Approved Mediator.
